The Temporary Work – Short Stay Specialist Visa (subclass 400) is designed for workers with highly specialised skills who are coming to Australia for short-term contracts.
Unlike other visa programs, the Australian government does not maintain a specific skills list for this visa. This means that workers with unique expertise or knowledge—which cannot reasonably be found within the Australian labour market—can be considered as highly specialised workers.
